Regis Philbin takes over 'New Girl' set in 'Funny or Die' vid - watch

Regis Philbin, Zooey Deschanel and the New Girl cast have starred in a new Funny or Die sketch.

In the clip, Philbin hangs around the set only to take over the writers' room in generating ideas for storylines.



While Philbin gets along with the rest of the cast, there's one actor the television icon doesn't like - Max Greenfield, who plays Schmidt on New Girl.

"Who are you and who is this guy? Big face," says Philbin when Greenfield tries to talk to him, "What do you want? You make me nervous, you know? Stop kissing up to me."

Philbin is then shown suggesting a story idea that would have a bus kill Schmidt.

Season two of New Girl, debuting on Tuesday, September 25, will feature America's Next Top Model's Keenyah Hill and Justified's Raymond Barry as guest stars.
