The Pop Idol finalists look set to chart at number five with their Christmas release 'War Is Over'.

The latest figures show that just 38,000 copies of the single have been shifted since Monday, with Avid Merrion's 'Proper Crimbo' only marginally ahead at 43,000 copies.

The Darkness look as if they'll take the spoils and be number one on Christmas Day, having sold 99,000 copies of 'Don't Let The Bells End'.
