Mariah slates Simon Cowell

Mariah Carey has been put off working on American Idol by the prospect of appearing alongside Simon Cowell.

The diva has been tipped to be taking the place of current judge Paula Abdul on the show, but she is not too keen.

Mariah told The Globe: "I love the talent and all that, but Simon has a real attitude problem and I think he is way too cruel. I guess other than as a guest, that could rule me out."
