Marco Pierre White has promised to be on his best behaviour in the new series of Hell's Kitchen.

The chef has signed up to train a new group of celebrities in the next series of the ITV1 reality show, which has previously starred Gordon Ramsay and Jean-Christophe Novelli. However, White has decided that he will not be aggressive towards the contestants, unlike Ramsay and Novelli, who caused controversy with their behaviour in 2004 and 2005 respectively.

"I'm embarrassed by some of the things you see chefs saying and doing," Marco told the Daily Star. "These people should be role models but I see all the cursing and bullying and I think there's no way I'd let my children work in a kitchen."

Hell's Kitchen returns next month.
