Grease Is The Word winner Susan McFadden has dropped a dress size after hiring a personal trainer.

The 25-year-old was terrified about having to wear Sandy's famous spandex outfit in the final scene of West End musical Grease, and so she decided to hit the gym with her trainer, Serbo.

"There were mornings where I'd wake up and all I'd want was another hour or so in bed," Susan told The Mirror. "But I knew that Serbo was waiting for me at the gym and I couldn't let him down. We worked out with a lot of weights, which is the best way to burn fat. I'd be there going: 'I can't do it, I can't do it!' And Serbo would tell me I could. I needed that encouragement.

"I've never pushed myself physically as hard as this. It was a great luxury to have a personal trainer because Serbo pushed me further than I'd ever have pushed myself. When you go to the gym on your own you slip into a comfort zone and stop when you first feel pain. Now I keep going."

Susan can be seen playing Sandy at the Piccadilly Theatre in London.
