'Kitchen' boss gives verdict on final four

Hell's Kitchen head chef Marco Pierre White held individual meetings with the final four contestants yesterday.

Paul Young, Barry McGuigan, Brian Dowling and Adele Silva were all called to Marco's office for an appraisal from their boss.

Up first, Paul was told by Marco: "What pleases me about you is that you've been respectful, concentrated, and hard-working all the way through the show. I think your main strengths are consistencies, constantly trying to do well.

"I think you still panic a little bit in the service. I think your main weakness is just having more than two fish on at once."

Marco then called Barry in for a chat, explaining: "All I can say is, you kept on smiling, kept your chin up and your head down, tried very hard, I think you've grown a lot as a person since you've been here."

The fiery chef also had kind words for Brian, admitting that he could make no suggestions on how the Big Brother 2 winner could improve.

"I think you've come so far in such a short time that I think you're fantastic," he said. "I think you could almost do it by yourself."

However, in his chat with Adele, Marco confessed that he wants the former Emmerdale actress to win the show.

"You've worked the hardest out of everybody in the last two weeks, in my opinion. You've been the most serious out of everybody," he told her. "If I had to choose a winner in two days time it would be you, if you continue the way you're going. I think you've worked so hard compared to everybody else."

Hell's Kitchen airs tonight at 9.35pm on ITV1.
