Sugar fires another 'Apprentice' hopeful

Sara Dhada has become the ninth candidate to be fired on The Apprentice.

The international car trader was given the boot after she failed to impress Sir Alan Sugar with her sales skills.

Sara was joined by Helene and Michael in the boardroom after Renaissance only managed to make £1,925 profit during the wedding dress task. Team Alpha earned £5,752.

Sir Alan singled out Sara for criticism, telling her: "Sara, you have a tendency of transmitting and not receiving. You talk, talk, talk but don't listen."

Teammate Alex Wotherspoon blamed Sara for the team's failure after she failed to sell a single wedding cake at the Birmingham NEC.

Talking about her sales technique, Sir Alan added: "If I had been one of those recipients of your sales pitch I would've got your head and pushed it in the bloody cake. You go off like a machine gun."

He also threatened Michael with the axe, commenting: "Michael I've got a list as long as my arm about the apologies, you putting your hands up. I don't know how many more times I can listen to that nonsense."

However, after much deliberation, Sir Alan finally decided Sara should be the next applicant to be axed.

Speaking afterwards, Sara admitted that she found it "really difficult" to work in a team during the challenges.

"I cannot work with a project manager telling me what to do...I will work individually and I will be my own boss," she said.

The Apprentice continues next Wednesday on BBC One at 9pm.
