Lamé: 'CelebAir' is a dream come true

Amy Lamé has revealed that joining CelebAir has allowed her to fulfill one of her childhood dreams.

The radio and TV presenter admitted that she jumped at the chance to take part in the upcoming ITV2 reality series.

She said: "When I first heard of the show I thought, 'I have to do this', because it's every girl's dream.

"I'd hoped that one day I might travel the world and look as glamorous as those girls do and then I took one look in the mirror and realised that I was a chubby, dark-haired child from New Jersey and didn't look like any air hostess I'd ever seen. I thought, 'There's very little hope for me'.

"Now they’ve relaxed the rules and have allowed bigger gals to join the crew, they can't discriminate anymore, which is fantastic. No longer are we just relegated to being ground staff! We will serve you in the friendly skies and I look forward to saying to the passengers, 'Coffee, tea or me?'"

CelebAir debuts Tuesday, September 2 at 9pm on ITV2.
