Courtney Murphy has narrowly missed out on a spot in Australian Idol's final two.
As had been expected, bookies' favourite Anthony Callea moved on to the final but in shock result, Idol underdog Casey Donovan beat out Courtney to join him.
"My luck had to run out eventually," said Courtney afterwards. "This has been the most amazing experience of my life."
The final two will perform for Australia's votes next Sunday before the result is revealed at the Sydney Opera House a week later, November 21.
