New show denies ripping off 'MasterChef'

Two chefs have reportedly set up a new cookery show to rival MasterChef Australia.

Pete Evans and Manu Feildel, who will judge My Kitchen Rules, denied ripping off the reality TV series.

Evans told News.com.au: "We wouldn't have done it if it was a rip-off of MasterChef."

The new Seven Network programme will follow teams of two cooking from their own kitchen for a group of ten people.

Filming on My Kitchen Rules began in Sydney last week.
