A Shropshire street dancer and her partner have won Strictly Dance Fever

Ludlow girl Hollie Robertson and partner Darrien Wright, from Darlington, wowed the public to take £50,000 and a part in a West End musical in final phone vote.

The pair have battled their way through two months of competition on the BBC One reality show.

Robertson, a former gymnast who took up dancing after injuring her back, said before the show she was determined to triumph.

"We have come this far and now we really want to win," she commented. "To come second or third is not good enough for us. We want to be champions and we are going to do everything we can to get that."
