Fisher reducing 'Maria' workload

Connie Fisher is reducing her commitment to West End musical The Sound of Music after receiving advice from her doctor.

The actress, who was picked by viewers of BBC series How Do You Solve a Problem Like Maria?, is reducing her weekly performances from eight to six.

Aoife Mulholland, who also competed in the show and has worked on Chicago, will take over for Monday night and Wednesday afternoon shows.

Fisher has had two weeks off the show altogether after her vocal cords were damaged by an illness.
