Graham Norton answers 'Joseph' critics

Graham Norton has responded to critics of BBC talent hunt Any Dream Will Do.

The Irish compere refuted suggestions that the show, which will cast the lead role in a West End revival of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, has taken work away from trained musical theatre actors.

He told Heat: "Oh, I couldn't be more bored! How many roles are there in the West End? Only two have been cast by this process. So I don't think it's the end of everything.

"We've done the West End a favour. Andrew (Lloyd Webber)'s whole argument was that the West End wasn't sexy and young people weren't going to see shows, so this TV profile is good for everyone."
