Ricky Gervais upstages Coldplay

Coldplay were upstaged by Ricky Gervais at their recent open-air concert, reports Contactmusic.

The group were recording a show for the BBC when fans spotted Gervais among the crowd.

As the Office star quickly drew attention away from the main gig, Martin joked: "Ricky performs 'Fix You' better than I do."

'Viva La Vida', the title track from Coldplay's new album, is expected to top the UK singles chart this weekend.
