Page Six reported that the actress, who recently reprised her role as Miranda Hobbes in Sex And The City: The Movie, checked into New York's Roosevelt Hospital for a breast augmentation earlier this month.
Both Nixon and co-star Kristin Davis were rumoured to have undergone cosmetic surgery at the facility on separate occasions, with Davis opting to have varicose veins removed from her legs.
However, Nixon said her visit was a follow-up to her successful battle with breast cancer, telling the New York Daily News: "I was [there] for my three-monthly checkup. I was in the Oncology department. I guess [the press] think that means plastic surgery.
"We got a call from the Post asking if I'd had a breast augmentation, and my publicist laughed at them and said 'No, of course not'. But they printed it anyway."
She added: "If I was going to get a boob job, wouldn't it make sense that I'd get it before Sex And The City?"
