Craig David has revealed that his father is his fiercest critic.
Speaking on Channel 4's Nokia Green Room, the R&B singer admitted that his dad, a former bassist for roots revival band Ebony Rockers, always picks holes in his live shows.
David said: "My dad is the worst, he comes up after and there's always something in the show, something he picks out. He will come up and say something like 'The bass was a little funny', and I'm like 'Dad, everyone was getting off on it'.
"This is every show from 2000 to 2008. Every show there is something. I'm never going to get to that pinnacle, perhaps unless he comes and plays bass."
Nokia Green Room airs Sunday, 1.35pm on Channel 4.
