Goodrem unfazed by long-distance romance

Delta Goodrem has spoken about the challenge of maintaining a long-distance relationship with Brian McFadden this year.

The couple announced their engagement last year, but have spent much of 2008 apart. While Delta has been trying to crack the US music market, Brian has been on the promotional trail with his new album Set In Stone in Australia.

"Thanks to the internet and huge phone bills - we talk daily!" Goodrem told Cosmopolitan magazine. "We're both supportive of each other's careers; we're artists and our job requires us to be flexible and in lots of countries. We're both each other's biggest supporter, and it's great to have insight into our experiences and be able to offer each other advice or just share a few laughs."

Asked about their forthcoming wedding, she added: "It won't be until next year - we both have a lot going on professionally and we're enjoying being engaged."

Goodrem's latest disc Delta topped the charts in her home country of Oz last year, while McFadden's album reached number five there in April.
