
The singer, who announced that she was quitting the music industry after the Spice Girls reunion tour, insisted that she is now happy as a children's author.
She said: "I've moved on from music and I really don't have a desire to do it anymore. I just love writing and I've always loved communicating with people."
Halliwell, who published first book Ugenia Lavender in May, is currently supporting Nick Jr's nationwide Once Upon A Bedtime campaign.
She is a member of the judging panel of the pre-school channel's bedtime story competition, the five winners of which will have their tales read out on TV in November.
Talking about the origin of her writing career, she added: "I actually had some down time a few years ago and I was looking for a way to be creative. I had always enjoyed writing so I just starting writing stories and it felt very natural.
"I thought 'oh my God! This could be a new medium for Girl Power by expressing it in a different way to reach a new generation!'"
