Kerry Katona battling to save marriage

Kerry Katona's marriage to Mark Croft has reached crisis point, according to a report today.

The reality TV star was shocked last week when Mark walked out of their £1.2 million home after tension between them came to a head. Croft went to stay at a nearby hotel, taking their children Heidi, two, and Max, who is just three months old, with him.

A source told The People: "They have been rowing and Mark had had enough so he got out of the house. He took Heidi and Max with him and they spent the night away from Kerry. He said he needed some space.

"But he went back to try and sort things out and he has stayed with her since. They have got a lot of talking to do."

The claims have been confirmed by Mark's mother Marilyn, who had previously been shut out by the couple after arguing with Katona on New Year's Eve.

"It must have been a huge row for him to have taken them to a hotel," Marilyn explained. "He and the kids spent the night away from the house but went back the following morning.

"If it was just Kerry and Mark I wouldn't care about their arguments but it's the kids I worry about. I know that as long as Mark is there the kids will be OK."

Katona is also at war with her ex-husband Brian McFadden, who is the father of her daughters Molly, six, and Lilly-Sue, five. She recently claimed that the former Westlife star needs to "grow up" for the sake of their children.
