Ben & Jerry's make Elton John ice cream

Rex Features

Ben & Jerry's have paid tribute to Elton John by creating a limited edition ice cream in his honour.

The product, which will be called Goodbye Yellow Brickle, celebrates John's concert in Vermont, where Ben & Jerry's originates, later this month.

Proceeds from the ice cream sale go towards John's AIDS Foundation.

The flavour of the ice cream is described as: "An outrageous symphony of decadent chocolate ice cream, peanut butter cookie dough, butter brickle and white chocolate chunks."

It will be sold at Ben & Jerry's Vermont Scoop Shops between July 18 and 25.

Vermont is the only state that the singer has not yet played in his career.
