Christian Bale has revealed that he had an unexpected late-night encounter with fellow actor Viggo Mortensen.
Bale said he was surprised to bump into the Lord Of The Rings star while unable to sleep in Rome.
He told GQ: "I was wandering around Rome a few nights recently. I think I was having insomnia issues.
"I kept seeing another guy looking lost like me - I waved one night and it was Viggo Mortensen who was sleepless too!"
Bale's new film The Dark Knight is released on July 25.
