Amy Winehouse has started searching for a new flat in Bury St Edmunds, according to a report today.

The troubled singer has told her management that she wants to move to the Suffolk town because her jailed husband Blake Fielder-Civil is being transferred to a nearby prison.

Jail staff agreed to arrange the transfer after Fielder-Civil claimed that he is feeling suicidal. He is said to be receiving Samaritan counselling for his troubles.

A source told The Sun: "Prison staff are genuinely worried for Blake and Amy's management are happy because they feel she needs to move out of town."

Fielder-Civil recently vowed to start a new life in the country with Amy when he is released from prison.
