The troubled star's dad is standing in for Danny Baker on his BBC Radio London slot on September 1.
After hearing that her father had been approached for the show, Amy asked if she could join in by offering words of wisdom to callers.
A source close to the singer told the Daily Star: "Amy has always been nifty with the advice. Although she often gets herself into pickles, she is very honest, very caring and very perceptive when it comes to dealing with other people's problems.
"Like the rest of us, she's sick of all her problems being on everyone else's lips and really wants to focus on other people for a change. It will work well, as long as listeners refrain from the obvious temptation of asking her questions about herself."
Winehouse is currently working on her forthcoming third album. She is expected to sing about her childhood and Jewish upbringing on the new LP.
