Jonathan Ross has purchased a £40,000 marble bathtub as part of a huge transformation of his North London home, a report claims.
The Daily Mail suggests that Ross, who is on an £18 million contract with the BBC, has spent nearly £500,000 on making his property perfect.
Alongside the bathtub, which weighs nearly three-quarters of a ton, is a toilet with a remote-controlled seat, the report suggests. Following advice from an interior designer, he is also said to have splashed out on a button-operated cupboard which rises from the floor, as well as gold leaf - costing £150 per square metre - to cover his skirting boards and picture rails.
A source told the newspaper: "It is absolutely amazing inside. It is like he said, 'This is exactly what I want - money is no object'. It must have cost hundreds of thousands of pounds. The whole place is amazingly ostentatious and fun."
Ross and his wife Jane Goldman purchased their home for £2.5 million eight years ago. Their expensive redesign is believed to have taken over a year to complete.
