Lucas's mum hates 'Little Britain' sketch

Matt Lucas has admitted that his mum hates one of the characters from his TV show Little Britain.

The comic said Diane Lucas is not keen on a sketch featuring WI member Maggie, who is physically sick at the mention of anyone who is not white or heterosexual.

He told Teletext: "It's the racist, vomiting Women's Institute lady David [Walliams] does. It's the sketch my mum definitely doesn't like. Even I shy away from her when she comes on screen.

"It's odd as people are more appalled by the vomiting than the bigoted attitude the character has."
