McFadden: 'Westlife work too hard'

Bryan McFadden has claimed that Westlife work "too hard" and that he doesn't miss being in a boyband.

The singer will be reunited with his former bandmate Nicky Byrne at Sunday's Soccer Aid event at Wembley, where both of them are playing for the Rest of the World XI.

"It was great to see Nicko," McFadden told DS. "We don't get to see each other much because we're travelling around, so it was really nice to catch up."

He continued: "I miss the boys themselves, but I don't miss everything that they do. They work too hard, them boys.

"They work every single day. They get one week off a year. I'm too old and too lazy to do that now."

Speaking about his solo career plans, he added: "Hopefully, I'll be releasing the album over here in February or March. I'm on tour in Australia in January. Hopefully I'll get over to the UK after that."

Soccer Aid airs this Sunday on ITV at 6pm.
