Doherty: 'Dad disowned me over drugs'

Rock star Pete Doherty no longer speaks to his father because of his drug difficulties.

Speaking to Live, the Babyshambles singer commented that his dad's military background means he cannot forgive his son's drug past.

"My dad does not have a son... I represent all he fought against in his life. As a military man, drugs are a big no-no," he said.

The 29-year-old, who this week denied fancying Amy Winehouse, added that the pair did have a brief reconciliation last year.
