Britney Spears will face trial next month on a charge of driving without a licence.
A Los Angeles Superior Court press officer confirmed to Access Hollywood that a date has been set for October 15.
The incident is alleged to have taken place in August 2007, when it is claimed that Spears bumped another vehicle and left, without leaving a note.
Spears was charged with misdemeanor hit-and-run and driving without a valid licence. The hit-and-run charges were later dropped after Spears paid an undisclosed sum to the car's owner.
Legal representatives for the singer said she was driving with a Louisiana licence that was valid because she owns homes in that state.
Following the incident, Spears passed the required test to obtain a California driver’s licence.
