Parker: 'I married in a black dress'

Sarah Jessica Parker has revealed that she married in a black dress because she felt embarrassed by the media glare.

The Sex And The City star said she wanted to wed Matthew Broderick in 1997 without intense media scrutiny.

"As an actor, a lot of attention is paid to you. And for some reason, I felt on that day, that I should not bring attention to myself. And my husband kind of had the same attitude about it," she said.

"I think we were embarrassed to be a traditional bride and groom. We wanted to throw a party, and deflect attention off us."

The 43-year-old recently claimed that a sequel to the Sex And The City movie will go ahead if writers come up with the right story.

"It's all about the story. If we can't tell a story that's really worthy of an audience, then we won't do it." she said.
