Blake rejects second chance to leave jail

Amy Winehouse's husband Blake Fielder-Civil has turned down a second chance to get out of jail early, this time refusing a stint in rehab.

Prison bosses offered a two-month reduction on his stay at Suffolk’s Edmunds Hill prison if he agreed to the detox, The Sun reports.

However, Fielder-Civil refused and has instead opted to stay behind bars to serve out the rest of his 27-month sentence for GBH and perverting the course of justice.

Last week, he was reportedly offered parole on the proviso that he wore an electronic tag, obeyed a 7pm curfew and agreed to move in with his mother Georgette in Nottinghamshire.

The parole board later withdrew its offer after the 26-year-old insisted that he be released to his home in Camden, North London.

A friend of Winehouse said: "This will be another blow for her. Blake could have gone to rehab and sorted himself out but would rather see out his sentence in prison. All he wants is a free reign when he leaves, which means living with Amy back in Camden.

"But if he is turning down these chances to leave jail and get clean, it doesn’t bode well for him and Amy when he finally does get out."
