Jason Donovan has revealed that he spent his first night with Kylie Minogue in a Sydney Travelodge.
"It was practical and had a bed and a telly," he told Piers Morgan on The Dark Side Of Fame.
The pair met and dated while working on Aussie soap Neighbours in the late '80s, but split when Minogue began a relationship with INXS rock star Michael Hutchence.
"I could tell something was wrong and she said it was over," Donovan added. "But I don't see it as humiliating. If you're going to lose someone you might as well lose them to Michael Hutchence."
