Sarah Harding has said she will always be grateful to Calum Best for helping her adapt to her celebrity lifestyle.

The Girls Aloud star commented that she does not regret going out with the serial dater in 2005 because he was useful for meeting new people.

Although their relationship did not work out, she insisted that he "never treated me with disrespect" and helped her gain the confidence to make friends when she first moved to London.

"[Calum’s] not exactly into commitment, but he was good for me because he introduced me to so many people," Now quotes her as saying.

"He took me out for dinner and to new places and I felt like: 'My God, I’m finally getting a life.'"
