Holly Willoughby has come out on top in a poll to find the best celebrity smile.

The Dancing On Ice host beat Cheryl Cole and Tess Daly to the title, which was based on a survey of 3,000 adults organised by The National Lottery.

Vernon Kay, Phillip Schofield and Dermot O'Leary topped the best male smiles list.

"These stars have an engaging, genuine smile which instantly puts people at ease and transmits optimism and warmth," psychologist Geoff Beattie told The Sun.

"We also find ourselves smiling back at these celebrities unconsciously."
