Britney Spears tops search rankings

Britney Spears has topped a list of the UK's top ten most searched-for subjects on the internet.

The popstar garnered the highest interest among Yahoo! search users in 2008, followed by Big Brother and The X Factor.

Oasis, who released new album Dig Out Your Soul last month, ranked fourth, followed by High School Musical 3.

Amy Winehouse and late Dark Knight actor Heath Ledger also made the top ten.
