Gladiator arrested following NYE fight

TV Gladiators star Tornado was arrested after a fight outside a nightclub on New Year's Eve.

According to The Sun, Tornado, real name David McIntosh, spent the night in a police cell after scrapping with 25-year-old clubber Marc Mclaren.

Mclaren and McIntosh's first exchange reportedly occurred outside Manchester's Ampersand nightclub.

"He just flipped over nothing and became a wild animal," said Mclaren. "He and his friend were throwing punches and I ended up on the floor.

"Then I saw him coming towards me and he kicked me in the head."

McIntosh allegedly continued the conflict later on at the Wythenshave Hospital, where Mclaren was being treated for a gashed lip, bruising and a chipped tooth.

"He started screaming at me again - effing and blinding and being very intimidating in the waiting room," said Mclaren. "A nurse put me in a separate room. They must have called the police."

Police, who are currently investigating the incident, released McIntosh without charge. Meanwhile, friends of the TV star have claimed that he was actually the victim in the attack.

"David is used to getting lots of aggro from people in nightclubs but these guys were particularly nasty," said a source.
