Justin Timberlake has popped the question to Cameron Diaz, his girlfriend of 12 months, according to The Sun today.

The singer, 23, first asked her parents' permission and then that of his own mother before proposing to a "thrilled" Cameron, 31.

A friend told the newspaper that the wedding would be "a quiet affair."
