Evan Rachel Wood: 'I love True Blood'

Evan Rachel Wood has said that she is thrilled that she is appearing on HBO's True Blood.

The 21-year-old actress, who recently revealed that her character on the vampire series is bisexual, has said that she's a fan of the show.

Wood told E!: "I watched the first season and loved the show, so I got in touch with [series creator] Alan Ball and said, 'Keep an eye out for anything that might pop up'.

"I thought it was a long shot, but then later on I got a call saying they needed a queen."

Wood is to premiere on True Blood this Sunday in the US as a 1,100-year-old vampire queen.
