Former Miss Universe Australia Laura Dundovic has split from her long-term partner Brock McDermott after four years together.

Dundovic, who became the face of Charlie Brown after winning the beauty pageant title in 2008, said that the couple were struggling to find time to spend together in their busy schedules.

The 22-year-old told The Daily Telegraph: "We weren't getting as much time together and decided to go our separate ways. I'm taking the time to catch up with friends, which is something I haven't had as much time to do."

Last year, the model and aspiring television star said that her success in the beauty industry was due to the support of McDermott and her family.

The pair, who first met in Year 7 at school, said that they would remain friends following the break-up.
