Jennifer Lopez was faced by an anti-fur demonstration at the premiere of her latest film, Monster-in-Law.

A group from the 'People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals' (Peta) campaign protested against the use of fur in Lopez's fashion range.

"She could make a difference in a positive manner, and what she does is cause the death of a lot of animals," protester Linda Kraemer is quoted by BBC News Online as saying.

Lopez, who attended the premiere in Los Angeles with her husband, Marc Anthony, was presented with placards declaring that she is a "Monster-In-Fur".

When asked what she thought about the protesters, Lopez apparently responded with, "I don't."

The singer and actress stars alongside Jane Fonda in the film, which sees Fonda's character attempting to sabotage her son's relationship.
