John Rutter has been sentenced to three years and eight months in jail after attempting to blackmail Cameron Diaz.

The 43-year-old man was convicted in July after he was accused of faking the actress' signature and planning to publish topless pictures unless she bought them back from him.

Rutter took the pictures in 1992 when the 19-year-old Diaz was an unknown model. He then demanded $3m (£1.65m) for them in 2003.
