Ray star Jamie Foxx has claimed that recent reports that he is to be the godfather to Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes' new daughter are completely false.

In an yet-to-be-aired interview for Access Hollywood, the actor and singer states that the news he is to be a godfather to baby Suri is "a rumour".

Accoring to Teen Hollywood, Foxx comments: "I did give them a nice basket. He's a great friend, but 'no'..."

The two actors bonded while filming Collateral together.
