Zach Braff splits with Mandy Moore

Zach Braff and Mandy Moore have split up – blaming a large age gap for the decision.

The decision was reportedly amicable, with singer Moore, aged 22, deciding she was too young for a completely committed relationship with the Scrubs actor, 31.

"They both decided that after two years, Mandy was a little young," a source told Us Weekly magazine. "Zach was ready for something different and they wanted to just kind of test the waters a little bit. It was an amicable break.

"Mandy was very young when they got together and she wanted to see what's out there, now that she's a woman. Zach was mature and realised it is time to let her do that."

Braff has apparently been spotted partying hard with friends recently and chatting up Jessica Simpson.
