Bruce Willis has been rewarded with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

The Die Hard actor was present for the unveiling ceremony on Monday, alongside his ex-wife Demi Moore, their children and her current husband Ashton Kutcher. Many fellow big screen stars were also in attendance, such as Ben Affleck, Kevin Costner, Sylvester Stallone and Billy Bob Thornton.

"I used to come down here and look at these stars and I could never quite figure out what you're supposed to do to get one," said Willis about his star - the 2,321st of its kind. "And time has passed and now here I am doing this, and I'm still excited about it. I'm still excited to be an actor."

Before moving into a movie career, Willis rose to fame on the television show Moonlighting, starring with Cybill Shepherd in the latter half of the 1980's.

He is currently filming Live Free or Die Hard, the fourth film in the popular franchise which is due to be released next summer.
