
The comments come from the star's spokeswoman following a storm of controversy over her decision to take in the 13-month-old boy. She herself will will appear on the Oprah Winfrey chat show in the US later this week and is expected to defend her actions.
According to the Daily Mail, the singer's spokeswoman said Madonna would bring David back to his country as a grown up and that "of course" he would decide where to live.
Madonna has also rejected reports that David's father Yohane did not realise he was giving the boy up for good. He told Sky News: "Had they told us that Madonna wanted to adopt my son and make him her own son, we would not have agreed to that."
