A Bravo TV sports presenter has admited assaulting Richard Bacon in an argument over his girlfriend.

Andy Burton pleaded guilty to breaking the XFM DJ's nose at Westminster magistrates court last week.

The presenter - who is the ex-boyfriend of Bacon's new partner Rebecca Macfarlane - followed him to a pub then beat him up in the toilets.

His friends called the police when he returned injured to the bar at the Garrick Arms pub. Bacon was not yet seeing Macfarlane at the time of the attack, according to The News of The World.

A source said: "Burton had got it into his head that Bacon and his ex-partner were having an affair."
