The pair held the bash at the Searcy's House club - conveniently just 50 metres away from Harrods in Knightsbridge. Guests had been asked to bring presents which were later donated to children's charities.
Among the generous guests turning out were Little Britain's David Walliams, Sir Elton John, Paul O'Grady, Cilla Black and Avid Merrion.
Presents included a radio-controlled Doctor Who Dalek and Cyberman voice changer, from impressionist John Culshaw, a colouring set from Eighties singer Sinitta, a doll from brought by O'Grady and several Disney toys from model Michelle Marsh.
Simon Cowell, seemingly missing the point, brought a set of designer, fine cut crystal, glasses.
The nearby toy shop was apparently overwhelmed by the event. "There was a sudden flurry of activity in the evening," a source told the Daily Mail. "We had a series of famous people like Louis Walsh and John Culshaw coming through buying up presents."
