P Diddy has issued an apology to an animal rights group following a mix-up with fake and real fur.

The rapper's clothing range, Sean John, was recently found to have used raccoon dog fur in the hood of its jackets. The Humane Society Of The United States were naturally incensed, demanding an explanation from the star.

Diddy, whose real name is Sean Combs, claims the incident was accidental, and has promised it will not be repeated.

"I was unaware of the nature of this material, but as soon as we were alerted, the garments were pulled off the Macy's floor and website," he said. "I have instructed our licensee to cease the production of any garment using this material immediately."
