Alan Davies has married girlfriend Kate Maskell in a quiet ceremony for close friends and family.

The comedian and his literary agent partner tied the knot at a North London registry office before jetting off to for a honeymoon at an unknown location.

They met in 2005 at a BBC party before getting engaged last summer - when friends said they were surprised at "commitment-phobe" Davies.

The pair's relationship is still thought to be thriving, however. "We have a good laugh together," Davies said recently, according to the Sunday Mirror. "I am very happy, without a doubt."
