Rolling Stones guitarist Keith Richards has slammed the Libertines, Bloc Party and the Arctic Monkeys for being "rubbish".

The 'Brown Sugar' rocker, who has toured with the Rolling Stones for almost 45 years, criticised today's bands for being artificial and lacking integrity.

He told the NME: "Everyone's a load of crap. They're all trying to be somebody else and they ain't being themselves. Libertines, Arctic Monkeys, Bloc Party? Load of crap, load a crap. Posers, rubbish.

"There ain't nothing out there that's worth s**t".
