Former Spice Girl Melanie Brown has pledged to sue Eddie Murphy over the paternity of her baby daughter.

The pop star is so convinced that the Beverly Hills Cop actor is the father of one-month-old Angel Iris that she has already named him on the tot's birth certificate.

She said of Murphy: "I want him to be a responsible parent but he's not doing a DNA test and he's not signing the birth certificate, so it's going to court so he can be forced to do it.

"He hasn't seen his daughter. My people have contacted his people and they had no response."

Brown already has an eight-year-old daughter, Phoenix Chi, from her former marriage to dancer Jimmy Gulzar.
